The MX7524LCSE+ is a CMOS 8bit buffered multiplying digital to analogue converter (DAC) in 16 pin NSOIC package. It will interface directly with most microprocessors. The On-chip input latches make the DAC interface similar to a RAM write cycle where active-low CS and active-low WR are the only control inputs required. The linearity up to ±1/8LSB is available and power consumption is less than 10mW. This 8bit DAC consists of an thin-film R-2R resistor array with CMOS current steering switches. It is used in µP controlled gain, function generators, digital control systems, bus structured instruments and automatic test equipment.
