ADL5906 is a TruPwr™ true rms responding power detector that has a 67dB measurement range when driven with a single-ended 50 ohm source. The easy to use input makes this frequency versatile by eliminating the need for a balun or any other form of external input tuning for operation up to 10GHz. This provides a solution in a variety of high frequency systems requiring an accurate rms measurement of signal power. Used as a power measurement device, VRMS is connected to VSET. The output is then proportional to the logarithm of the rms value of the input. In controller mode, the voltage applied to VSET determines the power level required at the input to null the deviation from the setpoint. Application includes power amplifier linearization/control loops, transmitter signal strength indication (TSSI), RF instrumentation.
- Accurate rms-to-dc conversion from 10MHz to 10GHz
- Typical dynamic range ±1.0dB is 62dB (continuous wave (CW) input, TA=25°C)
- Frequency range from 10 to 10000MHz (VPOS1=VPOS2=5V, TA=25°C)
- Typical logarithmic slope is 55mV/dB (-65dBm <lt/>PIN <lt/>+10dBm, calibration at -40dBm and 0dBm)
- Typical output voltage is 2.3V (PIN=−55dBm, VPOS1=VPOS2=5V, TA=25°C)
- Supply voltage range from 4.75 to 5.25V (VPOS1=VPOS2=5V, TA=25°C)
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +105°C
- 16-lead frame chip scale package [LFCSP-WQ]
