LTM8078IY is a 40VIN, dual 1.4A/single 2.8A step-down Silent Switcher μModule® regulator. The Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI while delivering high efficiency at frequencies up to 3MHz. Included in the package are the controllers, power switches, inductors, and support components. Operating over a wide input voltage range, the LTM8078 supports output voltages from 0.8V to 10V, and a switching frequency range of 300KHz to 3MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only the bulk input and output filter capacitors are needed to finish the design. Applications include automated test equipment, distributed supply regulation, industrial supplies, medical equipment.

- Low Noise Silent Switcher® architecture, multiphase parallel operation to increase current
- CISPR22 Class B compliant, CISPR25 Class 5 compliant
- Wide input voltage range from 3V to 40V
- Wide output voltage range from 0.8V to 10V
- Quiescent current into VINn is 2μA typical at (RUN = 0V, TA = 25°C)
- Load regulation is 0.2% typical at (12VINn, 0.1A < IOUTn < 2A, TA = 25°C)
- Switching frequency is 300KHz typical at (RT = 113K, TA = 25°C)
- Output RMS ripple is 10mV typical at (3.3VOUTn, TA = 25°C)
- Temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, 49-pin BGA package
